What you will be doing:
You will lead the NZ business end to end. P&L ownership, people leadership, client relationships, business development, technical credibility. All of it sits with you. You will be the face of the business in the market, the person clients want in the room, and the leader your team looks to.
Working closely with the ANZ executive team, you will set the strategic direction for New Zealand, pursue and win work across key sectors, and build on a strong existing foundation to take the business to its next level. You will be invited to be part of the ANZ Executive Committee, responsible for the strategic direction and operating performance of the business in the ANZ region.
You will be supported by both the ANZ and the global team. You will have access to world leading expertise across all engineering disciplines, as well as a research group in machine learning, AI and design automation. Your ability to tap in to these capabilities will enable you to create a sustainable differentiated offering to the market.
What we are looking for:
A proven leader with deep roots in the NZ engineering or built environment sector. Your background is likely in a senior leadership role within a multidisciplinary or specialist consultancy. Ideally with a technical grounding in structural engineering or a closely related discipline giving you the credibility to lead from the front.
You will have:
- Demonstrated leadership of a professional services or engineering business, with P&L accountability
- A strong commercial track record and the ability to win and grow client relationships
- An established network across NZ clients, developers, contractors, and government
- The people leadership skills to attract, retain, and develop a high-performing team
- The presence and credibility to represent at the highest levels in the market
