The Directors remain closely involved in every transaction, and this role has been created to support the next stage of the business's expansion.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to, and working directly alongside the Directors, the Head of Capital Transactions will take a lead role in originating, structuring and executing real estate transactions across the group's investment mandates. You will be a highly visible, trusted advisor at the centre of the business, with genuine influence over strategy, deal selection and outcomes, while working closely with a talented and collaborative Melbourne team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead origination, structuring and execution of real estate acquisitions and divestments across office, industrial and retail assets
- Partner directly with the senior leadership to shape and deliver the business's growth strategy
- Manage transaction due diligence, negotiations and settlement processes, working alongside legal, finance and asset management teams
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, selling agents, capital partners and other market participants
- Prepare investment papers, financial models and board-level recommendations
- Mentor and support members of the capital transactions team
ABOUT YOU
- Significant experience in real estate capital transactions, capital markets or institutional investment sales, gained within a top-tier agency and/or an institutional investor, fund manager or property trust
- A demonstrated track record of originating and executing commercial real estate transactions
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and negotiation capability
- The credibility, judgement and communication skills to operate directly with founders, capital partners and senior stakeholders
- A relevant tertiary qualification in property, finance, commerce or a related discipline is advantageous
- Based in Melbourne, or genuinely open to relocating
