An opportunity has become available for an Investment Analyst or Senior Investment Analyst to join a high-growth, institutionally backed property investment platform.
Working closely with the Investment Director and Leadership team, you will play an important role in assessing and executing new investment opportunities across Australia, with exposure to acquisitions, development, repositioning and portfolio optimisation.
This is an opportunity to join a well-funded platform with an established portfolio and significant growth ambitions, providing genuine exposure to the investment lifecycle from initial opportunity through to transaction completion and ongoing portfolio performance.
The Opportunity
The role will suit an investment-focused property professional who enjoys financial modelling, analysing opportunities and working in a commercially driven environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain financial models to assess acquisition, development and repositioning opportunities, including scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and stress testing.
- Support the acquisition process from initial opportunity through to transaction close, including investment papers, deal summaries and coordination of financial, legal, planning and technical due diligence.
- Undertake market, competitor and historical performance analysis to assess investment opportunities, risks and returns, while maintaining a pipeline of potential acquisition and development opportunities.
- Work closely with agents, valuers, consultants, vendors and joint venture partners, as well as internal investment, property, finance, operations and development teams.
- Track completed transactions against original underwriting assumptions and provide ongoing investment and portfolio reporting.
About You
We are interested in speaking with candidates at either Analyst or Senior Analyst level, depending on experience.
Experience within an investment, valuation or transactions environment will be highly regarded, but candidates with strong analytical and financial modelling backgrounds from adjacent disciplines will also be considered.
You will ideally have:
- 3+ years' experience in property investment, commercial real estate, valuation, corporate finance, investment banking or management consulting.
- Strong financial modelling skills, particularly in Excel.
- A strong understanding of investment analysis and metrics including IRR, NPV, yields and capitalisation rates.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative capability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present investment recommendations clearly.
- High attention to detail and a commercially minded approach.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
